A caged heart

Whenever she was close to love

She knew, it was not just love alone

It was ecstasy blended with warmth

By browsing through the glaring glasses

Of hugs, kisses, cuddles and touch

Not just altering the saturation of the world

Also changing blacks to reds, greens & blues

Yet she immediately closed her eyes

Her skin shielding like a love-cheater

Closed eye lids akin a dove fearing danger

Eye lashes like perfect curtains of emotion

Not letting her vulnerable glance see love

She smiled a fierce resolve of narcissism

And opened her eyes with a caged heart.
