Fireflies

The beauty of midnight

Even though no moon in sight

An endless road

With an aimless drive

Time not binding

Emotions blinding

And the picture our eyes paint

Of darkness and drizzle

Taillights like fireflies

Moving haphazardly

Creating the perfect bokeh

With smiles and slumber

And an eerie of mysterious sounds

Taking an easy breath

The heart devoid of all voids

They traveled some distance

But the time stood still.
