Poetry

one small day.

A square foot of awning

Above our heads

A cup of tea

Warming our fidgety fingertips

Amidst an hour of rain

As if to revel our togetherness

Hero like you

Decides to get drenched

And my jumpy mind

Follows a familiar smile

Which sealed the sixty minutes

Of our first encounter

Today, it rained again

And emotions dripped

Like a sea, in every drop of rain

Touched me to kindle

A beautiful thought of one small day

And though you’re not here

My senses savour a fictional aroma

Of some exotic teas

And your warm hands

To create a new dream

Of a longer day.
